Pickleball Pursuit's 2026 Paddle of the Year

Elite spin. Explosive power. Buttery feel.

Meet the Spitfire: a 7.85 oz powerhouse that breaks what's possible in pickleball. Massive power. Elite spin that doesn't fade. The feel of a control paddle in a frame built to end points. USAP approved and ready for battle.

Why the Spitfire Hits Different

Turbo Foam — Gen 4 Power Core Our proprietary Generation 4 foam changes what a foam paddle can do. We made an EPP paddle sound like an MPP paddle. The result? Massive, effortless power. Big pop, no plank.

PermaGritNano — Spin That Sticks Around The newest evolution of our groundbreaking PermaGrit surface, rated the #1 Tier 1 durable grit by Pickleball Effect. Rip heavy topspin, carve wicked slices, and watch the grit hold up month after month while other paddles go slick.

QuadFiber Layup — Power Paddle, Control Paddle Feel Four layers of carbon fiber configured in a proprietary layup deliver insane feel and huge dwell time. The ball stays on the face longer, giving you the touch to reset, dink, and drop — even from a paddle built for power.

Quick Hands The Spitfire whips through the air at the kitchen and quick counters in firefights. And here's the kicker: even with its Elongated shape, it swings like a Hybrid thanks to a low 116 swingweight — all the reach and leverage of an Elongated, none of the sluggish feel. Light enough to react, powerful enough to punish.

Power, spin, and feel — all in one paddle, all for $109.99. The Spitfire doesn't ask you to compromise.

A game changer!

I was looking for a new pickleball paddle with a high amount of spin and came across the Spitfire on Mattspickleball reviews. After doing quite a bit of research on the different qualities of it and comparing it to several other paddles, I decided to go ahead and buy the paddle. It's one of the best purchases I have made online.
Right off the bat, I liked the head-heavy feel and the rough grit surface. I play with a lot of spin, so I was very happy with the amount of grit on the surface. The paddle was delivered within 2 business days (extremely fast!) and I had it in my hands an hour before my league. This was the 3rd week of my league and I was 0-4 in week 1 and 2-2 in week 2. I was a bit nervous about playing with a brand new paddle I had never played with in week 3, but I gave it a shot. It felt so good in my hands and was very easy to play with. I was getting a TON of spin on my slice returns, and I also felt like it had a lot more control than my old Joola Perseus. I ended up winning 4-0 that night, after having warmed up for 20 minutes with the new paddle. I've been telling all my friends about the Spartus Spitfire. For $99, it's got to be one of the best paddles out there!

More than just good at any price. Durable grit. It's a no brainer. When a paddle is this good why spend more. Use the savings to take the misses out for dinner. Or buy LT48 balls

The new Spartus Spitfire, how it compares and plays!

The new Spartus Spitfire is a conglomeratiom compiled from all the other foam and gen 3 paddles combined. It’s not about surface layers but that’s part of it, it’s about the core and how everything works as a system. Some paddles are powerful and you feel that right away, some have more control and power is muted, pop is another trait. But when all this is combined in one unit, music is made. With the game evolving, paddles must also evolve. Spitfire is the paddle that is in tune with today’s game. Power is not noticeable, but its there, control is at your beck and call, pop keeps the ball coming off the face with just the right amount of dwell time to feel your return going right where you planned. It’s the Swiss Army knife of paddles!!!

A $110 Paddle That Has "No" Business Being This Good!

I’m not someone who changes paddles often. In 7+ years of playing pickleball, I’ve always been a placement-and-spin player who prefers to create my own power.

But after spending some serious court time with the **Spartus Spitfire**, I get it.

Right out of the box, this paddle is impressive. Soften your grip and the power becomes incredibly controllable. The touch is buttery, resets feel natural, and the **spin is absolutely off the charts**.

As a coach, one of the questions I hear all the time is, *“What paddle should I consider?”*

At around **$110, the Spitfire is an easy paddle for me to recommend.** You’re getting modern paddle technology, outstanding spin, plenty of power, and excellent touch without spending $250+.

Several of my students have already ordered one after trying mine.

**The Spitfire simply punches way above its price point. It’s just that good.**

Gritty, plush, spinny, and plentt powerful.

Been playing everyday for 2-3hrs since receiving about 7 days ago. Surface is maintaining its 'grittiness'. Also has nice plush feeling for foam paddle. Plenty of power, too, although not as poppy as other power foam paddle. Overall a great value.

Honest review not sponsored

I’ve tried many paddles and this has to be the most grittiest paddle I’ve played with. My opponents were amazed of how much spin I had on the ball. Best $99 spent using the code. The only request I have is if they can include an eraser to remove all the marks on the paddle. All in all , a great paddle!

Thonky like the Inferno

Loved this paddle so much that I bought a second one for a friend! Can’t believe how fast the shipping was.. AMAZING paddle, sounds just like the Inferno (my fav paddle) but has much better grit. Idk how they did it with EPP, but it’s great

It is as advertised and more

It is as advertised and more. Great spin and soft touch is what comes to mind after my first game with it. My wife tried it for one game and ended up taking mine. Oh well, back to the old paddle but at least she’s happy!

Overall great paddle

Overall great paddle. The paddle is not as stiff making it easier to control and a feel I prefer. Spin is super easy, my drips and drops are butter.

All-Arounder Paddle

This paddle is just a solid paddle all around with no complaints, with the only minor point coming in a little head-heavier than my preference but easily fixed with a buttcap coin weight. Plays well stock but with the 9g coin and 2g added onto the 4&8 it plays very well. Grit grabs the ball excellently while being fine sandpaper-like.

I absolutely love this paddle

I absolutely love this paddle. The feel is great, perfect power, not too much not too little. I have the Olympus, also the old school Apollo. This by far is my favorite. Love, love the grit. I think it is the best Budget Paddle of the Year. Keep em coming Spartus!!!

All around paddle that's an incredible value!

Very gritty, good power, solid pop, very hollow, and solid sweetspot which should get better if you add weight. Incredible value!

I think the paddle is great

I think the paddle is great. The quality and all that feels nice and this is the first like carbon fiber paddle I got. I think the delivery time was good and I don’t think there is really much to improve for the great price point on the paddle.
