I'm so happy to see Spartus finally put it all together in a single paddle that is an unequivocal winner in every way. Both the Olympus (with it's flawed foam-filled-cells construction that wasn't durable) and P1 (with its insanely high swingweights and edgeguard issues) were awesome paddles I could never quite give a full green light "buy" recommendation to the average 3.0-3.5 rec player. With the Spitfire, I can.

The best comp I can give for the Spitfire is a Ronbus Quanta (a paddle I loved) with all its flaws fixed. The Spitfire has the same springy, not-hollow-but-not-dense feel as the Quanta, but with 15-20% less pop and 10% less power (a good thing)—out balls with the Quanta were staying down for me with the Spitfire. The durable grit improvement also means you're able to put more shape on the ball with the Spitfire, whereas the raw carbon fiber on my Quanta smoothed out after 30 hours. Additionally, while the Spitfire still needs weight IMO like the Quanta did, the stock twist weight isn't nearly as bad as the Quanta. My spitfire came in just under 7.9oz stock—I put 6g weight on the buttcap and 3.75g on each side, and after adding an overgrip, it plays like a dream at around 8.4oz.

My only two points of critical feedback are the handle is a little too short (I wish the neck tapered just a little more aggressively to give more room around the throat) and I wish they launched this with a hybrid shape. These are minor quibbles. As a low-to-mid power paddle with a user-friendly feel out of the box and room for customization, this is an easy W for the advanced beginner and intermediate crowd. I've hesitated recommending a lot of modern power paddles to people who are aging out of their 3-year-old Vatic Prism, simply because most of them are too poppy, but the Spitfire gets an easy rec because I think the slightly soft, controlled feel offers a smooth transition to players hesitant to upgrade from older tech.

Can't believe it is only $109! I've been playing with a very high dollar paddle prior to Spartus Spitfire and the Spitfire is overall outperforming the other paddle. I has a good amount of power and pop. The spin is insane. With my high dollar paddle, it took about 2 weeks to learn to hit a little softer so that I could keep the ball from going out. Not with the Spitfire. It performed well on day one! On my second day, I didn't even pull my other paddle out of my bag, stuck with the Spitfire all day. The Spitfire allow me to hit hard without worrying about control, and hit soft with added spin. My only issue is that it needs a little higher twistweight to be more forgiving on off-center hits. Going to see if adding a little weight at the 3/9 positions help. Overall, it's a top tier paddle at an incredible price! Don't miss out on getting one.

I have used Spartus exclusively through my entire pickleball career. It was serendipitous that Spartus launched the Gladius right as I started to take the sport seriously. Although I was serious, I could not see an advantage to a $200+ paddle and maintained my Spartus "fanboy" status until the P1. Again, would it perform better than my Olympus that had become a natural extension of my arm at that point? So, I passed on the P1 and serendipity struck again when the edge guard on my VERY used Olympus finally gave up the week the Spitfire went on sale! After only a few hours of use I can already tell the Spitfire is punching way above its weight/dollar value. I cannot wait for this paddle to be fully broken in as you can tell it has incredible potential with every swing and it is only going to get better.

One week into playing with the Spartus Spitfire, near broken-in. I am enjoying the grip and control the ball. It has touch and power. I was able to make the ball climb up a few other grippy paddles with top spin. This is my new favourite paddle. If the grit lasts like advertised, it'll probably be in a lot of players bags.

I've played with a lot of paddles over the years, and the Spartus Spitfire stands out as one of the best values available. It has an exceptional blend of controllable power and spin, giving me the confidence to attack when the opportunity is there while still maintaining excellent touch on resets, dinks, and drops.

The lightweight feel makes it quick and responsive at the kitchen, and I really appreciate that there's room to customize the paddle by adding weight to match my preferred balance and swing weight. It's a versatile paddle that performs well right out of the box but also gives players the flexibility to fine-tune it to their game.

Really really awesome paddle. It's currently my main. Great feel off the face and the power is manageable plus it's really light so very maneuverable at the kitchen.

make the paddle has great grit and spin and fairly consistent. Feel I like to put 3 g of weight at four and 8 o’clock and one and 1/2 g the top corners.

I love this paddle! The spin on my serves, drives and drops are insane. Been using it for 3 days now and I have yet to see any decrease in the paddle's grit. This is the best bang for your buck

Excellent grit and balanced nicely. Nice how the stabilization weighting at 3 and 9 are built in. Very lightweight with just a tad of head heaviness but workable for those of us that are not elongated players. Can’t beat the value and look forward to a hybrid version

I’ve hit the J2’s, Agassi (too head heavy for me), R3 quanta, both elongated and widebody boomstick, LOVED the R2 quanta (didn’t have the durability I was looking for) and then ordered the Packle Fuse Hybrid W (even with the questionable grit) and then saw so many reviews loving the Spitfire. I’m not an elongated player, need quickness at the net playing 4.5-5.0 regularly, power only gets you so far at this level. The balance the Spitfire shows after playing it on day one during a four hour drilling/gameplay session, is outrageous. First off, the amount of dip I can get on drives is rivaled by VERY few paddles that exist currently. The stability and quickness at the net with 5 inches of one gram per inch at the bottom corners and a 9 gram flick weight is fantastic for an elongated. 8.70 oz setup. Resets are a dream through the midcourt, plusher than I believed they’d be for a true power paddle. Thank you Spartus for producing this dream of a paddle and I can’t wait to try to widebody and hybrid versions!!

Great paddle! I’ve played with the loco, cyclone, CRBN barrage, vapor power 2, J2 and J6CR, coral, etc. I prefer this over all of them, regardless of price. The first paddle out of the box that I didn’t have to adjust to. I added weight, but not sure it made it any better. Great sweet spot, great spin, great on resets. Enough power for putaways, but not enough to get you in trouble. The only thing I didn’t like was the grip, but I always add hesacore and regrip anyway. Not just a great budget paddle, it’s a great paddle regardless of price.

Probably the best $99 paddle on the market as of writing this. The grit is awesome and the ball feel is exactly what you want from a foam core.

I’ve barely broken in this paddle but I can honestly say it works like a dream. The spin is crazy good and it hits like a Mack truck. It’s not the most powerful paddle, but you can’t beat it for the money. If you don’t try one yourself you’ll be sorry.

My first soft/hollow paddle i must say…🤔 but font be fooled this Spitfire has some power…plays great in the soft game as well…ample pop at the kitchen when needed…the grit is fantastic!! But we will see over time how truly durable it is…👍 Great job Spartus, you have a winner here…🔥🔥🔥

Paddle is an amazing buy for $99 after code BSIDE. The grit, pop and MPP power makes this one the best, if not THE BEST budget power paddle in 2026. Not as poppy as an Aireo Cyclone, but has plenty pop. The grit is different from the P1, but i actually prefer Spitfire's grit. Played 6 games with it and plays easy stock. Still dialing in for weight customization, but wont tinker too much. Ive played a lot of MPP foam paddles, and this one is by far the best performance for the price.

Really nice paddle….lots of power, not too poppy, and of course insane spin/grit. I usually only hit widebody and hybrid paddles but was able to pick this up and play decently immediately (which is rare for me as I usually take 3 play sesh’s to dial in a paddle and feel somewhat comfortable). Sure, i may have missed a couple of resets that I would’ve made with my usual widebody or hybrid paddles but overall even though this is an elongated paddle it’s definitely staying in my bag.

Spartus/josh - please come out with a flat top hybrid or flat top widebody soon!

It's more mid tier power, but much more controllable for most players. Good for players from beginner up to advanced. The thing that stands out the most is the grit. It allows for spinny shots at slower speeds simply by brushing the ball. Great upgrade for anyone using the existing budget foam paddles: Vatic Pro Vsol or Ronbus Quanta.

Grit definitely stands out, paddle is lightweight, and balls come off with more controlled power rather than explosively. All around good paddle, especially at the price-point.

A great offering from Spartus. If you are on the fence between similar paddles, this paddle offers the “Goldilocks” in power, control, spin, and durable grit. The fact that it excels in each of these areas, for just $99 with code, makes it the easiest to recommend. Power is more than sufficient for singles and doubles, pop is outstanding but not unpredictable, spin potential is top tier, and feel is what you would expect from a thonky MPP paddle, despite this being an EPP paddle. The grit shines in grabbing the ball. You can feel it, especially for touch shots and kitchen play. Rolls and aggressive dinks are better because it feels like the grit grabs the ball better to produce more spin. My paddle was 7.9oz stock, but I added 3g to each corner, which made the paddle even better for my game. Moded specs: Weight: 8.5 oz; SW: 128; TW: 6.96. Most players don’t need the mods, maybe just at 3 and 9 o’clock to give it a bit more TW, but overall, great paddle and highly recommend. Bottom line for any paddle, you have to like the feel, and this is paddle falls in that category for me.
