I am a fairly new player. I started with a 4 Pack Cheap racket. My friend then let me borrow his $250 EDGE Paddle. Wasn't ready to spend that type of money. The first day a played with Spartus I was a little nervous as I was struggling. Gave it a couple more days and got used to it. I know like it just as much or more than the $250 paddle. I had a promo code that got $10 off. It has good power and spin capability.
I kinda thought I wanted to try a thermoformed paddle but was afraid it might have too much pop. When the owner posted a Reddit code making the paddle sell for $85 I ordered one. I was surprise that there was no adjustment period to get use to the paddle. It plays soft which is what I liked but hits the ball harder on overheads or drives than my previous paddles. I am keeping an eye on Reddit for another discount code
I love this new paddle! I was sick the week I got this so I finally was able to play with it. Its definitely a big difference from my major brand name paddle. I had to place a new grip as I thought the standard grip was too thin as I could feel the material underneath. I also noticed one face of the paddle “sounded” different than the other side, so im not sure whats up with that. Im also sad that the face of thenpaddle got scruffed up easily from only a few plays, you can see white splotches of where I hit the ball (which could be a good thing to help improve). But ive had so much more control than my other paddle, id definitely purchase another one just to have on hand :)!
Great paddle!! Love the feel of it and has that pop which is not excessive. Great all round paddle!
Great ground strokes, great overheads, and great net game. I doubt an all-around paddle will appear and be able to compete with this paddle for some time.
