Oh my gosh it is wonderful first time playing out of the box. I bought two knowing someone would want mine after they played with it. Resold it first day and others ordered their own. So light, so fast. I am a 78 year old woman who had loved the APOLLO BUT THIS IS EVEN BETTER. LOVE the HUGE sweet spot, that sound is addictive. I teach senior pickleball and know many of my students will be customers. Hope the grit lasts, so easy to spin the ball. Small grip is a plus.Better than Coral and Honolulu.
Glad I bought the widebody.
This paddle is just so much fun. Lightning fast at the net, a huge sweet spot, plenty of power, but still controllable. I wish the hybrid shape was available and would purchase today!
This is the first paddle I've played that I just don't want to put down. Great spin and sweet spot! All this and a fantastic price together in one package is so good.
I knew I got my money's worth as soon as I played my first game. Even just putting a little effort into creating some spin resulted in several unreturnable shots.
It's really really really hard to hit a ball off-center, to the point where the entire face feels like a giant sweet spot.
Satisfyingly loud, meaty, low-pitched THONK which caught the attention of my open play opponents.
For $100, it really does not get any better than this. I'm considering getting the elongated too for some extra power.
Enjoying my paddle very much. Just enough pop for the perfect reset midcourt, great power for the drivers and hands battles with great control for the angle shots and spin. Sweet spot is a bit smaller than other paddles I’ve had. Overall great buy especially for the price! Would love the shorter handle as an option at some point.
The Spitfire Standard/Widebody is easily one of the best value-for-performance paddles on the market. The 8" widebody shape offers a massive, forgiving sweet spot with amazing lateral stability, making off-center hits much less punishing. At around 107 swingweight, hand speed at the kitchen line feels insanely fast and responsive during quick resets and counter-battles.
Excellent for the price! Great pop and spin with very good control. Large sweet spot and I love the sound of the pop. I actually like the Spitfire more than the P1. Can’t go wrong with the retail price but even better with discount codes.
Widebody has huge sweet spot and the spin is amazing . The spin is still excellent after 40 games.
I ordered widebody Spitfire. Its really good and insane level of spin. Its really a good paddle who’s looking for power with control
Love the grit on this paddle which help generate a lot of spin, feels fast in the hands (widebody) with enough pop to put away the balls!
Great spin with mid-power and good control. That's hard to find that combo. It also comes in pretty low static weight and really low swing weight with the wide body. Only took me about 1/2 game to dial it in. I didn't pop any balls up which is a huge bonus. Grit is holding up so far. Great paddle at an even better price! It's not high power and it's not stiff, so be aware of that if those are your preferences. Highly recommend this paddle.
The Spitfire is an amazing value! Very easy to recommend for about $100!
Pros: Really good power on hard shots. Good spin on soft shots. You can really aim your shots well.
Cons: Off-center shots feel very strange. This paddle is poppy and that can make resets challenging if you’re not used to that.
The Spitfire Widebody is currently on top of the Pickleball mountain of paddles. Incredible feel on ALL shots…the entire paddle face is the sweet spot…and the spin is the absolute cherry on top. Awesome paddle Spartus, you should be smiling.
Great spin, pop is just perfect but power is good if you need it.
Produces a very manageable power with lots of spin
Amazing spin
Great control and power
It upgraded my game
Played with it 4 times really like it good control good pop I'm a 70 plus senior love the handle makes me smile everytime thank you
Its my new main paddle!! I upgraded from joola pro IV and loved the spitfire immediately
Nice to see a great performing paddle for a reasonable price, plays well out of box, great spin pop and control- thanks Spartus
I have over 30 paddles, many of which are twice as expensive as the Spitfire. and it is every bit as good in terms of power, spin, and control. I find myself reaching for my Spitfire more often than not.
I got the Spitfire Widebody because I love my Spitfire Elongated, and I usually play with widebody paddles. The paddle is solid and is great for drives. Because of this, I think it will take some adjusting to not pop up my dinks. The spin is fantastic on it. Overall, I didn't see a lot of difference between the elongated and the widebody but they are my favorite paddles that I've gotten so far. I like them better than my P1 Hybrid.
Ordered new Wide Body. Spin and control is great. Delivered fast.
Love the paddle. Great control and super spin. Hope the spin last.
bought the spitfire as a hundred dollar " fun" paddle.what I got really surprised me in all the right ways. I love the feel and just how predictable it is. the sweet spot feels generous- I have left my honolulu j2 in my bag the last three outings. well done
This paddle fit my style so well out of the box. I didn’t think the soft feel of pocketing the ball would be something I enjoyed since I’ve been playing stiff paddles for a while now. Shaping the ball in this is so much easier than other paddles and the touch is great. Highly recommended.
Love love this paddle. Play with it stock, very well balanced as is. Normally I put weights on my paddles. Didn’t need it on this one. This is my new main now. Quick on the hands. It can be poppy, so you have to be dialed in with your control game. Power is great when needed. Grit is next level.
